How to Clean Up Spilled Scentsy Wax

HOW TO CLEAN SPILLED SCENTSY WAX:

Spilled Scentsy Wax?

There’s no use crying over spilled Scentsy wax! 😉 We all know that sometimes accidents happen. Your Scentsy Warmer might get knocked over or you might spill wax during a wax change. Whatever, the reason might be, I am here to help! Below is a list of surfaces and how to remove Scentsy wax from them. If you have questions or need more help please feel free to contact me.

1) ANY SMOOTH, NONPOROUS SURFACE such as kitchen or bathroom counter tops, coffee/end tables, tile, linoleum, etc. This type of wax removal is the simplest of all. The only tools you will need are a Scentsy Bar package (or single blade razor-pictured) and a wet cloth. Spilled Scentsy WaxThe single blade razors can be found at any home improvement store and are also sold as part of cleaning kits for smooth top stoves. To remove wax- once the wax is dry, gently slide the Scentsy Bar package under the wax. The dried wax will come right off. Simply throw it away or toss back into the Scentsy Warmer and wipe the surface with the wet cloth. See the Spilled Scentsy Wax Video on YouTube

2) Carpet. You will need a warm iron, paper towel or paper bag and a wet cloth. Place the dry paper towel or paper bag over the wax. Gently iron over the paper towel/bag. The heat from the iron will warm the wax and it will absorb onto the paper towel or bag. Wipe the area with a wet cloth to remove any remaining residue. You might need to repeat this process several times to remove all of the wax. Also, with some darker waxes you might try using a carpet cleaning spray to remove any remaining color pigment.

3) Walls. For walls you can try using the above methods to remove the majority of the wax. To remove any remaining residue simply scrub the area with a brush. Be careful not to scrub too hard so you don’t remove any paint. Handheld steam cleaners also work really well to remove wax residue from walls, just ask my son! 😉
